We took the kids to a dairy farm for the day on fri. It was so much fun; they had "farm class" to teach us all about cows and the workings of a farm, then a hay ride, and then the kids got to feed the animals....it was a great day!

And I'm glad to hear that someone else has had the experience of finding their child's personality once they begin to come out of his shell.
