Sick

So I thought she was getting better.....I was wrong! All I can say is I've done 3 loads of "Reagan" laundry today..... and I really really hate cleaning up poop!

Update....

I recieved 3 new pics of Garrett D. today! It was a wonderful unexpected surprise in my inbox! He is doing well...he already looks diffrent from the last picture I got :) Now if we can get a court date soon we just might get our son home before Aug....one can only hope!

We have the best family and friends! We celebrated our referral with some Ethiopian food. And despite the strange food, and busy day that everyone had...they all came anyway! So thanks you guys you are seriously the best!

Lazy Day at the Pool

We went to Nonna and Grandpa's on sat. to hang out in the pool.

But Reagan spent most of the day on the waterfall....Go figure!

Ok so we have a son!

Garrett D. Thomas
We can't post his name yet or pics until we go to court and are legally his parents but here is a bit of fun info:
He is 11 months old
His middle name is his African name which means joy :)
He is crawling and pulling himself up and is very active!
He is so dang cute! (I will post a pic as soon as I am allowed.)
We are in love with his sweet little face and can't wait to meet him, hold him, hug and kiss him!

We got the call!

Today is a blessed day! We got our little boy's info and pics. I can't say much but we are more than thrilled!!!!! I can say he is beautiful and perfect! Thats all for now, more info to come........

There is something so precious about a sleeping baby! O how I love you!

Happy Mother's Day!

Some one sent this to me and I thought it was the perfect tribute to moms everywhere! Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,
The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

HMMM......

I guess she decided she didn't want to wear her clothes! I caught her in the nude walking around "talking" on her phone. I couldn't stop laughing! Her conversation went like this: "Yeah...ok...(fake laugh)....no! Go away!....(fake laugh)...ok bye, see ya!" It is amazing to me the world that exsits in that head of hers :)

One month.....

Ok so Fri marked one month of no baby and no news..... It’s frustrating to say the least. The battle between my head and my heart is raging. My head knows God’s timing is perfect timing, and His plan is better than mine could ever hope to be. But my heart is aching to meet my son, to hold and love him…and to bring him home. My phone is constantly attached to me…. I wish it would just hurry up and RING!

To say I need a boost in patience is a huge understatement! :)

Weekend at the Cabin

We spent the weekend at my parents cabin. It was so nice to rest and relax outdoors!
