Gearing up to leave....

We leave fri. to take Reagan to stay with Scott's parents in Cali....and then on the 18th we are off to Ethiopia! I was thinking last night that this is the last week at home alone with just the 3 of us....its kinda strange to think that in 3 weeks we will be a family of 4!
Thanks to everyone for all your thoughts and prayers!
I will post when we return at the end of July!

Happy Birthday to my 4th of July Baby!

Making progress.....

I finally finished one of Garrett's bedroom walls! I am going to finish the room off with stuff I get in Ethiopia....so until then this is it :)

I also got all of his diapers in the mail (aren't they fun!) I started using cloth diapers for Reagan at night after we potty trained her and fell in love! I am a dork I know... but it really is kinda fun to have color choices, plus I really just like the idea of being nice to our planet!
P.S. the pink and purple are for Reagan :)

New Pet

Reagan got a dog for her birthday!

Its the perfect addition to our family....

It provides hours of fun...and when she gets bored I can just turn off the hose! Its the best pet we have ever had! lol :)

Baby Girl's 2nd Birthday!

We celebrated Reagan's 2nd birthday with Nemo and ice cream (Reagan's two favorite things at the moment) I can't believe she turns 2 on the 4th!

Ok so we have officially hit the ground running!
* I booked our tickets (ouch that hurt our wallet!)
* Making all travel preparations today i.e. travel insurance, registering with the embassy etc.
* Shots tomorrow…. not looking forward to that L
* Garrett’s stuff is all packed…. and minus clothes Scott and I are packed!
* Last minute shopping later today.
* Trying to get his room done or at least almost done.
* Rugs are getting cleaned tomorrow....the nesting has kicked in :) lol
* Then I have to pack for Reagan…. and drive her to Cali. (To hang out with her Yaya!)
* Then we drive home and hop on a plane to Ethiopia!

It’s all craziness! I still cannot believe we are getting our boy! O and on a side note thank you to all who prayed for the court decision…. it really is a miracle that Scott is getting to go. When we started the process we figured that there was no way he would get to go b/c there was only a two-week window that he could travel…. God is good and He timed everything so that Scott would get to go! Honestly it’s a miracle if one document had been out of place or we had any delays over the last 11 months then he wouldn’t be coming…so thank you for your prayers! We are grateful and feel so blessed to be getting to go together to meet our son!

But we passed court and Garrett is officially our son! We also got the travel dates we were hoping for, which means Scott gets to come with me! We are so excited! More info to come…………
