I just got off the phone with our agency and things are looking good. Our court date got pushed back to tue. But they are giving us tentative travel date of July 21, which would mean Scott would get to travel with me. Please pray for us on Mon. Scott really wants to go and get his son, and I really want him there too!

Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:19-20

Ok so I am a girl obsessed! I have fallen in love with this site called http://www.etsy.com/….I love the idea of handmade items, but since I am a girl with no talent I resort to buying things that I need/want. I stumbled on this site awhile back and fell in love! Its mostly mom’s or women who are putting there craft out there for others to enjoy. It has great finds at great prices, and more often than not you can customize your order! Anyhoo…. just thought I would share my good find.

My life line....

Today was upsetting....I knew that during this process that there would be days like this, but I didn't anticipate how emotional they would be. Scott and I have had a fairly easy adoption (as far as international adoption goes anyway) but its days like today when we throw up our hands and say “God we can’t take it anymore!” It’s been 10 almost 11 months of an emotional roller coaster ride, from so excited to so frustrated and back again. We trust in God’s plan and timing…..but our patience is defiantly warring away. So as I try and pull myself out of my depressed rut that I have been in since this morning, I decided to read our adoption verse which has become my lifeline over the last 11 months.

"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day." Habakkuk 2:3

Not today....

So I can't get into details....but we did not pass court. They rescheduled us for next Mon. We are a little disappointed, but hopeful that next week we will make it through court with out delay. If you think of it pray for court next Mon. :)

A Great Weekend!

Happy 1st Birthday Garrett!! (June 21) We just recieved our monthly update....boy is he cute and getting so big! Things are swinging into high gear toward Ethiopia. Mon. is our court date.....so PLEASE PRAY we pass court! If we pass court then Scott and I will be off to Ethiopia shortly thereafter. I CANT WAIT much longer...I want to meet my little boy. Hopefully I can post a pic next week some time.

Hands and Feet

I love little kids hands and feet. It is such a reminder of how sweet and small they are. Reagan seems so big to me...but then I look at her hand compared to mine or Scott's and I realize I still have my sweet baby girl :)

Fish

Reagan loves fish, so for her upcoming 2nd birthday we decided to get her some fish. We gave it to her early b/c we will be out or town for her bday and wanted her to be able to enjoy it before we left. Lets just say enjoying it is a huge understatement! She stares at them all day!

There is also a tiny frog in the tank in which Reagan has quickly made her friend. She talks to him about everything....its pretty funny!

For the carb lovers out there....

My favorite food of all time is mashed potatoes; I would eat a whole bowl if I could! Unfortunately, they are not so good for my waistline :) So I thought I would try a more healthy version to see if it was worth it…and it was! I made smashed cauliflower instead of potatoes and to my surprise they tasted pretty much the same. So for any of you that are interested the recipe is:
Cauliflower steamed until tender
Garlic, salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup of low fat sour cream
½ cup cheddar cheese
In food processor combine until creamy…that’s it! Super easy.

Yea!

We got a court date! June 23! I finally feel like we are near the finish line! Pray that everything goes smoothly with the Ethiopian courts, and we pass court with no delays.

Family Fun

Last week was full of fun! Scott had the week off of work so we filled it with lots family time. The highlight of the week was Thurs. when we took Reagan on a date to BounceU. It was so much fun! For any mom who hasn’t been its great fun and is great for getting energy out! We played there for 2 hours then went to lunch at Streamers a cute little diner with the best sundaes! Then Scott and I left Reagan with Yaya and headed to San Tan to celebrate our 4yr. anniversary with Sushi and a movie….. It was the perfect day!
