Thomas Clan Update

Well we are back in the swing of thing! Scott is back to work; track starts soon so he is busy preparing for the season. I start my 3rd term of school, and in 20 weeks I will be half way done woo hoo! We are definitely in a busy season of life, but we are enjoying it. The hardest thing for me is to not stress about the fact that my house is NEVER clean or the laundry that never seems to make it on to hangers and in to the closet. We are learning to not sweat the small stuff! In December we realized God had another big change coming our way…. the decision was hard but after a while of mulling it over, it was clear that it was time to change churches. We felt a push toward a smaller church, this was hard b/c Scott grew up at Central, we were married there, and we have friends/family there, it was safe and comfortable. But in the end it was clear that God wanted to move us. We started going to The Grove in Chandler, and we love it! Transition is always hard, but we are excited at this new adventure God has laid before us!

2008 was a huge year for us; on New Years Eve we sat in our quite house and looked back over a year that took us on a whole new path. There were a lot of growing pains along the way but as 2008 drew to a close we couldn’t help feeling like we had climbed Everest! So for us 2009 is all about getting connected in our new church, surviving the business and enjoying moments as a family. Here is to another amazing year!

As for the kiddos:

Reagan turned 2 ½ this month, she is so sassy lately (in a cute way) she loves to play house, read books, paint, color, and play dress up. I laugh every time I hear her instructing Garrett to “come eat dinner” or “time for bed bud” she is the little mommy of the house! We love listening to her sing, count and say her ABC’s…when did she get so darn old?! She is still our little peanut, weighing 25Lbs I think she gained one pound in a whole year.

Garrett will be 19-months on the 21st and will have his 6-month home mark on the 30th of this month. He is our complex child. On one hand he is so sweet and cuddly and on the other he is as stubborn as they come. I look at him and have to laugh b/c I am baffled as to how two extremes can exist within such a tiny person! He loves playing with cars, trucks, and loves to be outside. He just discovered how fun parks are and love to climb all over the equipment and then proudly slide down the slide! I am happy to say he is finally growing; he has gained 4lbs since he has been home and now weighs 21Lbs!

That is a really good picture of the 4 of you....

Hang in there with your last little bit of school! I am amazed that you are finishing while being a busy mom of two! Good for you!

Glad the church change is going well. It is encouraging to me for our own "church" change coming up =)

One more thing - this is really a long comment I've written...
